Description
Offered for sale is this excellent and not commonly seen SHEAFFER SOVEREIGN II TRIUMPH TUCKAWAY fountain pen from circa 1946 in the Carmen striated color. The White Dot, Triumph nib and wire cap band serve to identify this post war model which is one of the several examples of wire cap ring models that are not Craftsman. The pen is 4-3/8" long. It is in excellent condition with no trim brassing and no faults or monograms on the exterior. The pen has a visulated section which is stained, but still transparent. It is a plunger filler and still takes up a few drops of ink, but would benefit greatly from a new seal. The cap opening has a very slight diameter increase near the opening, probably due to posting and heat, but it is quite minor and mentioned for accuracy. The pen has a two tone 14K LIFETIME nib which is a fine width (possibly XF) and is quite firm. Nice and rarely seen pen.Prior to bidding, please read below the information on payment, return policy and on international shipping. Florida buyers must add 7% sales tax.
