Tombow 1994 Zoom 707 de Luxe Pen & Pencil Pair Gold/Silver-Rare Discontinued

Description

This is a very rare Tombow Zoom 707 de Luxe ball point pen and mechanical pencil pair. They are gold and silver metal color.
When I was unable to find anything like them on the web, I contacted the Tombow America office.
They used the word “rare” and said these were first sold in 1994 and are discontinued; but they were not able to give the date.
I use the term “pair” because they were not purchased as a set; but each is in an individual identical box.
One box has a UPC label, but I am not sure to which it applies.
The pen has a fine point with black ink.
Refills are the same as the current Zoom 707 pens.
The pencil uses 0.5mm lead.
These pens are in like-new condition and show no sign of being out of the box for use.
Look carefully at the photos because they are part of the description.
This pair and a large number of pens were donated by the estate of a pen collector to a charity thrift shop at which I do volunteer work and sell on eBay those items which would not readily attract in-store buyers.
