    Description

    This sale is for a vintage Victorian era dip pen and hooked device with a removable end (as pictured) in the original box.  Horace M. Smith was a New York stationer and manufacturer of dip pens after the Civil War.  Online sources show that Mark Twain frequented the H.M. Smith Pen Shop on Nassau Street in Manhattan, New York.  The pen is marked on the the nib "H.M.SMITH  NO 2". These pieces are in good condition. The box measures 8 inches in length.  Study the pictures carefully as there are no returns.  This seller does not ship internationally.
